Junior Chamber International (JCI)

Junior Chamber International, founded by Sir Henry Giessenbier in St. Louis, Missouri, USA, in 1915, was originally named the Young Men’s Progressive Civic Association. However, it underwent a significant transformation and was officially reborn as Junior Chamber International in 1944. JCI is dedicated to empowering young, active citizens aged 18 to 40 to create positive change in their communities worldwide. With nearly five lakhs active members and a presence in over 115 countries and territories, JCI empowers young people to develop leadership and entrepreneurial skills while collaborating with organizations like the UN for sustainable development.
